This platform enabled efficient management of multiple brands across the EMEA market. Its brand-agnostic design not only reduced operational complexities but also significantly boosted revenue by enhancing customer experiences across the brand portfolio.
Background
In 2017 GoDaddy acquired Host Europe Group (HEG), a prominent provider of web hosting and domain services, catering to individuals, small businesses, and large enterprises alike.
HEG operated several brands, such as Host Europe, 123Reg, DomainFactory, and PlusServer, each targeting specific market segments and geographic regions. This acquisition was a significant move for GoDaddy, as it aimed to expand its presence in the European market and enhance its portfolio of hosting and domain services.
Challenge
Following the acquisition of Host Europe Group (HEG) by GoDaddy, several challenges emerged, including managing multiple brands with distinct identities and diverse customer bases, inefficiencies stemming from varied tech stacks, and the complexity of integrating these systems into GoDaddy's existing infrastructure.
Additionally, ensuring regulatory compliance across different European jurisdictions added another layer of complexity. These factors necessitated a strategic approach to consolidate operations, maintain brand loyalty, and streamline technological integration without disrupting service quality.
Solution
GoDaddy implemented a multi-brand eCommerce platform, ReComm. This platform preserved the unique identities and autonomy of each brand under the Host Europe Group, allowing for tailored marketing strategies and product offerings specific to each brand's audience.
The platform centralized key operational aspects like payment processing and customer support, greatly enhancing efficiency and reducing overhead costs while ensuring a consistent and seamless customer experience. Designed for scalability and flexibility, the platform accommodated future brand additions and adaptations to market trends and regulations, thereby ensuring compliance across varying jurisdictions and supporting sustainable growth within GoDaddy’s expanding market presence.

My individual contributions, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking were crucial in implementing a robust design practice that supported ReComm's multi-brand eCommerce platform, ensuring its growth and efficiency.
Initially, as a Senior Designer, I delivered user experience designs for multiple apps while crafting a multi-brand design system. As I transitioned into a managerial role, I oversaw daily operations, mentored team members, and engaged in high-level strategic planning.
I crafted innovative design solutions, resulting in ReComm's flexible and robust design-system.
Through experimentation, innovative design solutions, and collaborative efforts, I led the creation of ReComm's design system, that not only streamlined the design process but also allowed for a high level of customization, enabling efficient scalability and adaptability for future challenges.
I delivered user-centered design experiences that catered to all ReComm tenants.
By conducting research, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and employing user experience design principles, I ensured streamlined app integration and seamless user journeys.
